Hy-Vee recalls 12 more types of packaged salads

Hy-Vee announced this weekend it is recalling 12 more of its packaged salads. The company said the salads may be contaminated with cyclospora. Last week, the company recalled its Garden Salad variety for the same parasite. The U.S. food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention opened up an investigation into an outbreak linked to ALDI Little Salad Bar Brand Garden Salad from ALDI grocery stores, Hy-Vee Brand Garden Salad from Hy-Vee Grocery stores and Signature Farms Brand Garden Salad from Jewel-Osco.The CDC says those infected will get sick within one week of becoming exposed. The symptoms include diarrhea, loss of appetite, fatigue, vomiting, body aches, headaches, fever, nausea and other flu-like symptoms.
